Pattison the Glasgow “via San Francisco” vocal phenomenon is marking his European release of Mississippi Nights and has returned to his native Scotland after 42 years
Californian (Scottish) vocal legend Davey Pattison has forged an impressive career as a San Francisco Bay Area based rock vocalist over the last 4 decades. He has now returned home and is looking to hit the European Blues Rock scene with a band of crack Glasgow Musicians.
Pattison recorded his first music in 1969, and his career took off after arrival in the United States in 1972, to front the band Gamma, formed by Bay Area guitarist Ronnie Montrose.
Born in Paisley Scotland and playing clubs and bars around Glasgow from an early age, in 1972 found himself in USA as lead singer with Gamma. Davey wrote a number of their HITS including ‘Thunder & Lightning’, ‘No Tears’, ‘Razor King’ and their ‘classic’ ‘Voyager’.
In 1986 he got a call from Robin Trower to sing on the ’Passion’ album then in the early 90’s he rejoined Gamma for the ‘Diva Station’ album and a tour to support a ‘Greatest Hits’ set.
In 2004 he rejoined Robin Trower recording the albums ‘Living Out Of Time’ and ‘Another’s Day’s Blues’ and shortly embarks on another world tour with Robin Trower band in 2008.
this taken from ‘Mississippi Nights’. Davey called on his numerous friends and contacts to play on this fine Roots albums which has never before been released outside of USA.
