Fairnie & Adamaschek
This is a very European project and song written from the double perspective of Scotland and our ties with The Continent and Germany and their ties with us, captured in the fading winter light of boths uneasy post BREXIT connection with rest of these Islands.
Tom Fairnie lives in Edinburgh Lothian Scotland, Klause Adamaschek Rotenburg An Der Fulda, Hessen, Germany - both are singer songwriter who's styles cuts across Americana, folk, country and blues in a melodic uncluttered acoustic guitar framework.
Tom is a stalwart of the Edinburgh folk and poetry scene and founding member of the wonderfully named 'The Travelling Waverlies', who performed a mixture of poetry and song, before going on to form Tom Fairnie &The Snakes who were an occasional ensemble that also featured the song writing talents of Karen Dietz and Kathy Stewart Kennedy. He also performed as part of Tomfoolery, with Jane Fairnie, Madelaine Cave and Graham Whyte.
The Waverlies compromised four poets…Bob Shields, Billy Cornwall, Mike Dillon and Tom, toured in Scotland and the Netherlands and performed at various festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe.
Klaus Adamaschek is a member of acclaimed Klaus Adamaschek is a member of acclaimed German outfit Shiregreen. He has, so far, released 15 albums.
