Jim Wyly is Texas to the bone has been a revered and loved figure on The Texas Music Scene for 40 years, fronting a long list of locally acclaimed and loved bands. This song is taken from his heritage collection "The Artisan".

The Artisan finds Jim in the studio for the first time not only as a solo artist but as a co-producer as well along side fellow Texan songwriter, Chuck Hawthorne. The album is stripped down to allow the lyrical content standout. With songs spanning Wyly’s entire songwriting career and varied subject matter, The Artisan serves as a perfect introduction to Jim and is a culmination of 40 years of living, writing, and performing form a man that has done his share of them all. Accompanying Jim on several tracks is Ray Bonneville folk blues legend on harp and (including this one) Grammy nominated country singer Libby Koch on background vocals. he is joined by Peruvian virtuoso Javier Chaparro on violin, of the Peruvian National Symphony, Fine Arts Theatre Orchestra in Mexico City, The Austin Symphony and he has held the post of Concert Master for the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra since 1992. This list of names a fitting testament to how well revered Jim is in his home land.#
